Our beliefs and convictions concerning our Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ set us apart from the world. These are some of the truths that we hold:
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and His death on the cross and resurrection on the third day reconciled us to Him. His blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Colossians 1:19-20; John 3:16; Matthew 26:28)
- All scripture is inspired by God. His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105)
- We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. However, we are also justified by His grace through our faith in Jesus Christ. We are undeserving of the gift of grace that has been given to those of us who believe. (Romans 3:21-25)
- Through our repentance and acknowledgement of our sins, and our baptism (immersion) into Christ, we have received the gift of the Holy Spirit. We are justified by the beliefs of our hearts, and are saved by the confessions of our mouths. (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-6, 10:9-10)
- The church is Christ’s body, it is filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, and it exists to save the lost and to nurture and facilitate growth to those who have been saved. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:22; 3:10-11; 4:12, 16; Colossians 1:18; Jude 23)
- It is our desire to make disciples of all nations, so that all may hear the Good News of Jesus. (1 Corinthians 15:10; Matthew 28:19-20)
- We take seriously the example Jesus set for us to continually love one another. (John 13:34, I John 3:11)
- We believe others will know that we are Jesus’ disciples by the love we show to each other, and to those who visit us. (John 13:35)
- The life we live is one of ongoing glory to God (I Corinthians 6:20, James 2:14-26)
