Our Elders

To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder…Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.  And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. – Apostle Peter

Our congregation has been blessed with various elders since 2007.  Here are those serving in this role today.

Ron Patton (right) has been serving as an elder since 2017.  Ron came to the Appleton area with his family after having lived in Colorado and having grown up in California.  A computer engineer by trade, Ron enjoys fishing and is very involved coordinating events and service opportunities for the group.  Ron has a passion for seeing people get involved and making Christians feel comfortable getting together for all sorts of activities.

Ron currently lives in Hortonville with his wife, Sherri.

Wade Wells (left) has been serving as an elder since 2022.  Wade’s family has been worshipping with the group in Appleton since 2007 after moving here from Alabama.  Growing up, Wade’s dad was a minister and Wade has lived in Texas, Alabama, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.  Wade is an avid sports fan and roots for the Tennessee Volunteers, Green Bay Packers, and any team from Texas.  Wade’s career is as a professor of mathematics at Fox Valley Tech, and Wade enjoys Bible study and encourages others to get into the word.

Wade lives in Appleton with his wife, Mary, and their three sons.
